The children of Year II recently had the exciting opportunity to visit EBCO for a guided shopping trip on the 16th-17th of April. During the visit, they followed a carefully curated shopping list that encouraged both focus and responsibility, as well as the fundamentals of money management.

Throughout the experience, the children learned how to make healthier choices when selecting their items. With the support of volunteer parents, they also discussed the importance of saving money and making thoughtful spending decisions.

Among the nutritious items chosen were cucumbers and bananas, which demonstrated the children’s ability to select healthy options while staying within their budget. In addition to sticking to their lists, they managed to save money, putting their budgeting skills to good use.

This hands-on outing provided an excellent opportunity for the children to develop important life skills, such as budgeting, money management, and healthy eating habits. It was a fun and engaging experience that brought these lessons to life in a practical and memorable way.
