Year I children brought colour and creativity to the stage in a lively Earth Day assembly that was both fun and meaningful. Dressed in bright outfits and playful headgear, they were eager to share their learning—with Year II students joining as enthusiastic guests.
The event began with the national anthem, sung proudly by all and accompanied by upcycled instruments the children had made themselves. This set the tone for a morning filled with energy and thoughtful messages.
The children sang and danced to “Happy Earth”, performed Urdu skits about the importance of saving water, and gave a jiggly, wiggly tribute to marine life—shaking like jellyfish and bringing a splash of the ocean to the stage.
A standout moment was The Story of the Brave Seed—a creative and engaging way to explore ideas like seed dispersal and germination, while also highlighting how even small actions can lead to big change.
Behind the scenes, teachers worked closely with the students—guiding rehearsals, encouraging creativity, and helping bring their ideas to life. Their support played a key role in helping the children shine on stage with confidence and purpose.
To wrap up, all Year I students joined together in a final Earth Day song, ending the event on an upbeat and joyful note. Mrs. Farooq closed the assembly with a few kind words, appreciating the children’s efforts and reminding us of the importance of nurturing both the Earth and young minds.
The children returned to their classrooms proud, inspired, and determined to be Earth Heroes.
