Year I were shown an engaging and child- friendly presentation on the effects of prolonged screen time, by a visiting ophthalmologist. This was a reinforcement of their PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, Enterprise) lesson on healthy vision, and proved to be an effective way to raise awareness of the impact that digital devices have on young eyes.
The ophthalmologist provided some practical tips for keeping eyes healthy, such as spending more time outdoors, setting limits on screen time, and also emphasized the importance of a healthy diet.
It was indeed an informative and eye-opening talk!
