Furred and feathered creatures, with paws and claws were out in full force at the  Kindergarten ‘Pet Day’, for the Nursery children.

 The ‘Pet Day’ featured an impressive lineup of very well loved and very well looked after animals, including birds, a turtle, a tortoise, fish, a variety of  cats and kittens, different breeds of dogs, a goat, a horse, a pony, a peacock, a rabbit, and even a baby monkey, each with its own unique charm and appeal!

The children were excited and thrilled and very curious! Each child had the opportunity to visit the pets close-up at their designated “pet stations”, many wanted to cuddle a fluffy creature, feel tickly claws on their skin and even feed some pets with a tasty treat! The parents who had brought the animals spoke about the care and nutrition that they gave to their pets, as well as how they exercised and groomed them, and shared what they felt was special about their pets.They also enthusiastically and patiently answered the children’s numerous questions.

An exciting day, filled with wagging tails and adorable creatures, not only celebrated the joy and companionship that pets bring to our lives, but also raised awareness and a sense of responsibility in the minds of our young learners on how we need to love and care for other living beings.

It was truly a wonderful and heartwarming experience for them!
