Spring is in the air! And the Kindergarten Spring Festival provided the perfect opportunity for the children to showcase their creativity and talent while participating in a variety of spring-themed activities.
The Kindergarten donned a festive look with vibrant lanterns, flowers, butterflies and bees made by the students, displayed all around. After a lively and energetic warm-up session filled with music and movement, which left the children charged with energy and excitement, each year group celebrated the arrival of spring in their own unique and special ways.
Laughter echoed around the Kindergarten and its surrounding areas as children engaged in a variety of hands-on and carefully curated learning activities such as, Hand and Block Printing, Clay Play, Ping Pong trap, Ring the Tower, as well as some epic tug o’ war contests and exhilarating kite flying sessions. The highlight of the day was a fun and fascinating bubble blowing activity- the children were captivated by the whimsical charm of different sized, rainbow tinted bubbles floating through the air and had a lovely time chasing and catching them!
In their Art classes, children had made 3D birds, collages, kites and flowers using repurposed paper, and designed and coloured intricate mandalas, which were exhibited all around. Children brought beautifully decorated picnic baskets and savoured their snacks in the courtyard. The magic of music, singing and dancing added to the festivities.
It was a wonderful day full of laughter and enjoyment, and a tangible reminder of our connection to nature and our desire to preserve and nurture our environment.
