At KGS, we believe that reading is an adventure, and our annual Kindergarten Reading Week (24th–28th February 2025) brought stories to life with creativity, imagination, and joy!

Detailed planning, led by the KG librarian Zahra Lotia and the Heads of Year, ensured that every teacher and every child was actively involved, making the event a truly immersive experience.

Each day was filled with exciting activities that made reading come alive! Nursery students enjoyed guessing games, story comprehension, role-playing fairy tales, and a lively Show & Tell. Prep students explored stories through Listen & Draw, Story Webs, and Shared Writing, imagining new adventures with famous characters. Fun games like Musical Chairs with Books and Story in a Bag sparked creativity. Class I dived into comprehension, poetry, jokes, riddles, and engaging games like Rebus Sentences and Guess the Story. Class II took storytelling a step further with Poetry Writing, Fractured Fairy Tales, and Paired Reading.

Reading with parents was a heartwarming highlight, bringing families together to share the joy of stories. These special moments made reading even more enjoyable for our young learners. The grand finale, our vibrant Character Parade, saw students excitedly dressed as their favorite storybook characters, bringing beloved tales to life.

Reading Week 2025 was a magical journey, fostering a deep love for books and storytelling. Here’s to many more literary adventures ahead!
