The 76th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement by the children and teachers of the Kindergarten and Junior Sections, as they paid homage to the country’s flag and sang the National Anthem, in a special Independence Day Assembly.

The atmosphere in the auditorium was charged with patriotic spirit as students from Nursery to Year VI, dressed in national clothes and national colours, listened to heartwarming speeches from Mrs. Farooq and various teachers from both sections. After watching an inspiring presentation about Pakistan, and learning about the significance of the jasmine flower, they sang national songs, all the while  joyfully waving their green and white flags.They were ably accompanied by the teachers choir, the staff of both sections and guest singer Mr.Irteza Chohan.Special visitors from the College Section, the Head Girl and Head Boy and the two Deputies, smartly attired in their maroon gowns, participated in the proceedings with wholehearted enthusiasm and shared messages of patriotism and unity.

Much to the delight of the children, they received surprise treats to mark this special occasion – a freshly made doughnut each and to encourage a greener and prosperous Pakistan, a sturdy ‘Night Blooming Jasmine’(Raat ki Rani) sapling to take home to plant!

The assembly concluded with a special dua, followed by cheers of “Pakistan Zindabad” echoing throughout the school, thus bringing to an end a very inclusive and spirited celebration!
