The Kindergarten and Junior Sections marked Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with a vibrant celebration that reflected the school’s deep patriotic spirit. The festivities commenced with a grand flag-hoisting ceremony. Enthusiastic children dressed in national clothes, parents and teachers wearing green and white gathered in the outer field, encircling the national flag, as it was raised with the utmost respect, accompanied by the JS band’s rendition of the national anthem. The activities then moved to the auditorium, where the Principal, Mr. Lander and Headmistress, Mrs. Farooq addressed the children, reminding them of the vital role they have to play as the future leaders of Pakistan, and encouraging them to make a commitment to its progress. A heartfelt prayer for the nation’s prosperity and success was shared. Amid high spirits and excited flag waving, the children, accompanied by the teacher’s choir sang a variety of “milli naghmay”, filling the atmosphere with nostalgia and patriotism. A special highlight of the event was the screening of a video showcasing the achievements of Arshad Nadeem, Pakistan’s celebrated athlete, who made history by winning the gold medal in the javelin throw at the 2024 Paris Olympics Games. The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by the guest appearance of a group of young performers, who showcased through their energetic dancing the rich, cultural heritage of Pakistan. The Assembly concluded with three resounding cheers of Pakistan Zindabad!
