As part of their Science unit on plants, EY 2 children visited Hosh Muhammad Sheedi Park on the 16th and 17th of September. The visit gave them an opportunity to observe flowering and non-flowering plants in their natural surroundings and connect their classroom learning to the world around them.

The children walked to the park together and made the most of being outdoors with their classmates. At the park, they took part in a range of P.E. activities that encouraged teamwork, coordination and active participation. 

During the nature walk, the children spotted different flowering and non-flowering plants, talked about what they noticed and shared their ideas. They then enjoyed drawing some of the plants and natural features they had seen. 

The morning ended with a yummy picnic before the children made their way back to school. It was a lovely morning of Science, outdoor exploration, physical activity and art, bringing their classroom learning to life.
