KGS partnered with Umeed Parr during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to run a Toy Drive for children in cancer wards across the city. The initiative supported the Umeed Parr Rewards Programme, which honours each child’s bravery with a special treat.
The drive began with talks from the Umeed Parr team, inspiring students to donate new toys such as puzzles, crayons, and small Lego sets for children of a similar age and gender. Collections were made each morning in the central foyer, coordinated by the Heads of Year, with daily pick-ups by the Umeed Parr team. Students also added a personal touch by making message cards to accompany their gifts.
The response was overwhelming, with enthusiastic contributions from students, parents, and teachers. It was a heartwarming effort that brought the KGS community together in support of children facing tough battles.
We sincerely thank everyone who helped make the Toy Drive such a success.
