Teaching Urdu sounds by relating them to real-world activities is an effective and engaging way to help learners grasp the language more easily.
To incorporate real-life experiences into Urdu phonics instruction and reinforce the letter ‘Daal’, our young learners enjoyed ‘Dastarkhwan pae Daal ki Dawat’. Having meals on a ‘dastarkhwan’ is a part of our culture, tradition, and a valuable practice that holds a special place in many households. A ‘dastarkhwan’ was spread in class and children sat around it. They enjoyed the ‘daal chawal’ and through this activity they also learnt basic dining etiquettes.
‘Dastarkhwan pae Daal ki Dawat’ was a truly meaningful and enriching experience for the Nursery children.
