Field trips help students to not only broaden their educational experience, but allow them to make connections to real world settings.
The children of Year III went on a trip to the English Biscuits Manufacturers factory on Tuesday, 14th November. After being warmly welcomed by the EBM staff, the children were briefed about the different areas of the factory, their products and safety precautions. The children were excited to watch the production of biscuits, right from the processes of mixing and kneading, to shaping and baking, to packaging and storing. During their tour of the premises conducted by none other than the Executive Director of the company, the children asked a variety of intelligent and probing questions. At the end of the tour, students were offered a variety of snacks in the EBM cafeteria as well as freshly baked, warm, gooey chocolate biscuits!
As a memento of their informative and memorable trip, each student was presented with a goody bag and a class photograph.
