As part of their science learning on changes in materials, Year II children enjoyed an educational visit to the English Biscuits Manufacturers (EBM) factory. The visit gave students the opportunity to see how everyday food items are produced on a large scale and helped bring their classroom learning to life,
The students were welcomed by the EBM team and given a clear introduction to the factory, its products, and the importance of hygiene and safety in food production. As they moved through different sections of the factory, they observed each stage of biscuit-making—from mixing and kneading the ingredients to baking, packaging, and storage. Watching the process firsthand sparked curiosity, and the children eagerly asked thoughtful questions throughout the tour..
The experience was both informative and enjoyable, and the goody bag received by each child added to what was a memorable and meaningful learning experience. We would also like to acknowledge and thank our parent volunteers whose support made this visit smooth and enriching for the children.
