Children experienced the joy of reading and the pride of community service by raising funds to support a variety of charitable causes. They requested family and friends for sponsorship pledges for each page read. At the end of this nearly month-long activity, they collected on those pledges.
The annual Junior Section Readathon, a prelude to the upcoming Book Week, motivated our young readers to read more widely, as well as giving them a worthy incentive to read more both in the classroom and outside of it. It provided a wonderful opportunity for parents and teachers to work together to inspire children to develop a passion and enthusiasm for reading.
