The Early Years and Junior Section came together to mark, “R U OK? Day”, with a cheerful programme full of colour, movement and meaningful moments.

For Years III–VI, the day began with a special morning assembly. Children arrived wearing yellow accessories, bringing a wonderful splash of colour and energy to the school. The assembly featured lively skits and a heartfelt nazam highlighting the importance of checking in on others, listening with care and offering support. The Wellness Team also shared a short message about kindness, connection and making time for one another. The message was simple yet powerful: sometimes asking “Are you OK?” can make a difference, and sometimes, just being there for someone is the kindest thing we can do. 

In Early Years and Years I–II, the morning assembly began with simple exercises and cheerful singing, setting a happy and energetic tone for the day. This was followed by a range of activities, from creative artwork and gentle yoga to simple breathing exercises, giving the children opportunities to express themselves, stay active and find moments of calm while focusing on their wellbeing. 

It was a lovely day filled with yellow smiles, happy voices and plenty of positive energy. Above all, the children were reminded that a simple “R U OK?” can be a meaningful way to show someone that we care.
