The Pakistan Spelling Bee National Championship was an exciting and engaging experience for everyone involved. Set on the beautiful LGS Paragon campus, the event drew participants from across Pakistan. Delegates from cities like Faisalabad, Daska, and Gujranwala brought their competitive energy, while the colourful uniforms in shades of red, navy, grey and green added to the lively atmosphere.
In the Year VI competition, two talented students from Karachi Grammar School’s Junior Section, accompanied by their teacher, travelled to Lahore to participate and demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm and focus throughout the event. The competition was fierce, culminating in a tie-breaker for third place. Our students rose to the challenge, demonstrating exceptional skill and determination as they challenged their rivals with impressive tenacity but could not make it to the next round.
A total of 24 teams participated in each year group, with finalists selected through two oral rounds and a challenging written test, where participants had just two minutes to form as many words as possible from a given set of letters. The perfect spring weather made the event not only educational but also enjoyable and unforgettable. It offered students a unique opportunity to connect with peers from across the country, fostering both learning and camaraderie in a truly memorable way. Our students’ outstanding performance was a true testament to their dedication and skill, leaving a lasting impression and making KGS proud of their achievements.
