The Junior Section provides many opportunities for our students to develop skills of leadership and responsibility. We entrust them with duties in keeping with their strengths and abilities.
Every term, eight students in Year VI have the privilege and honour of holding the position of House Captain. It is an office which carries specific responsibilities, as these pupils have the potential to influence the school environment and the behaviour of their fellow pupils by becoming advocates for positive change in the school community. It takes long hours of deliberation and meetings between teachers across the year groups and subject areas to ensure a fair selection.
The Junior Section House Captains for the second term were announced on 2nd February, 2024. It was indeed a proud moment for the selected students when their names were called out in the outdoors assembly, they seemed both excited and surprised!
Many thanks to our First term House Captains for all their hard work, team spirit, and leadership.
Congratulations to our new House Captains, we wish you all the best and we look forward to seeing you supporting the aims and ethos of KGS, representing pupil voice and acting as role models for all pupils.
