On Thursday, 26th Ramzan, the Junior Section held a Special Assembly to celebrate the impact of its Readathon fundraiser. The event marked a meaningful moment as the students’ efforts translated into real support for two remarkable initiatives dedicated to uplifting underprivileged communities.
A representative from Umeed Parr, a nonprofit supporting children with cancer and their families, received a donation to help establish “Home Away from Home.” This special facility will provide free accommodation, education, medical care, and emotional support to families who travel to Karachi for treatment, offering them comfort during difficult times.
Another donation was presented to Mrs. Shabina Mustafa, founder of The Garage School, which provides education to underprivileged children. She shared the inspiring journey of her school, which began with just 14 students in her garage and has now grown to over 700 across three campuses. This contribution will go directly toward enriching students’ learning experiences and providing essential resources.
Beyond supporting these causes, the Readathon was a powerful lesson in empathy, generosity, and social responsibility. Children saw the real impact of their efforts, reinforcing the importance of compassion and community service while fostering a love for reading and active citizenship.
