From 29th September to 3rd October, the corridors of the Junior Section buzzed with excitement as children from Years III to VI celebrated Science Week 2025. This year’s theme – Health Tech – opened a fascinating window into the world where science meets medicine, and technology transforms lives.
Each year group explored a different area of innovation:
- Year III peeked into the futuristic world of dentistry, discovering how our smiles may be cared for in the future.
- Year IV explored the power of vaccinations and the sophisticated techniques behind them.
- Year V delved into state-of-the-art interventions for the human heart, learning about life-saving medical marvels.
- Year VI investigated the incredible potential of robotic limbs and how technology restores mobility.
From Monday to Thursday, the science lab. was filled with energy and creativity. Children cracked clues in scavenger hunts, built models of teeth using egg cartons, designed artificial limbs, and constructed heart circulation systems with bottles and straws. These hands-on activities blended teamwork, curiosity, and discovery, making science come alive.
The week included inspiring guest talks by medical experts. Year III had the privilege of listening to Dr. and Mrs. Arsalaan who introduced them to the fascinating field of robotic surgery. Year IV welcomed Dr. Asim Soomro, who shared valuable insights into the science of vaccines. Year V engaged with Dr. Tariq Mahmood, who spoke about robotic surgery and the groundbreaking Cyberknife technology, while Year VI benefited from Dr. Harris Qureshi’s talk on the future of robotic surgery.
Science Week 2025 was more than just a celebration. It was an opportunity for students to imagine the future, ask bold questions, and witness how innovation in health technology is shaping tomorrow’s world.
