At the Junior Section we are immensely proud of all our students and acknowledge that they are fine ambassadors for Karachi Grammar School.
House Captains however, reflect the characteristics which are necessary to be responsible leaders and role models for their peers and demonstrate and develop ‘House’ spirit among other students.
On Friday 9th September, the auditorium was filled with excitement and anticipation, as children from Year III to Year VI gathered for a special assembly to announce the House Captains.
Before announcing the children’s names, the Headmistress, Mrs. Farooq, explained the process of appointing House Captains, the qualities that they should embody and the responsibilities that they would have to fulfil. The eight Year VI students whose names were announced, one boy and one girl, representing each House looked very happy and proud, and addressed the assembly confidently as they spoke about how honoured and privileged they felt.
The Assistant Headmistress, Mrs. Husain and the Year VI and V Year Group Coordinators pinned on the House Captain badges amidst the sound of cheers and applause. These badges, Mrs. Farooq explained, were symbols of the great responsibility, good leadership and dedication that the House Captains would have to demonstrate.
The School wishes each of the new House Captains all the very best for the upcoming term and looks forward to seeing them set a positive example for all the Junior Section students by demonstrating kindness, respect and teamwork.
