The start of a new school year is magical, brimming with ideas and offering a chance to set new goals and learn new things.
The Kindergarten and Junior Sections came to life on the 15th of August with the sounds of happy children returning from not only a long summer break, but over a week of online classes. The foyer, decked with national flags, resonated with the children’s excited chatter and the energy level was unmatched as enthusiastic children were welcomed back with warm smiles by their teachers.
Amidst the excitement of reuniting with friends and meeting new teachers, there was a sense of anticipation for the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead; with students and teachers gearing up for a promising academic term filled with new knowledge, new experiences and new beginnings .“The first day back is probably one of the most amazing days of the year,” a Junior Section student said. While a Kindergarten parent shared how she loved the vibrancy and eagerness that comes with the first day of school.
The day was made even more special by the arrival of our youngest learners- the Nursery children. Divided into two groups, the children came at staggered intervals, for an hour during the day. They had a lovely time getting to know each other and their teachers, taking a mini tour of the KG section, playing games and rounding off their day with a storytelling session- a wonderful way to settle into the ‘big school’!
Here’s to a new school year filled with inspiration, growth, and a focus on the future!
