As the school year draws to a close, a series of engaging sessions were held across various year groups to support students’ personal development, wellbeing, and digital awareness. These sessions offered valuable insights, preparing students for the future while encouraging thoughtful, informed choices in an ever-evolving world.
Cryptocurrency Unplugged: A Beginner’s Dive into Bitcoin
Year V and VI students participated in an insightful session with entrepreneur Afaque Riaz Ahmed, who introduced them to Bitcoin and the world of cryptocurrency. Students learned about its role in the digital economy, explored the Binance trading app, and even saw a Bitcoin mining machine in action, observing its significant electricity usage. The interactive session sparked curiosity and thoughtful questions, making it a dynamic and informative learning experience.
Preparing for New Beginnings
To support the transition from the Junior to the Middle Section, Year VI students attended a ‘Growing Up’ talk in separate sessions for girls and boys. These age-appropriate discussions gently introduced the changes that come with growing up, fostering a safe and respectful space for students to ask questions and feel supported as they move into a new phase of their school journey.
Digital Awareness for Young Learners
To promote digital wellbeing, Year III and IV students attended an engaging session on data privacy, phishing threats, and the responsible use of Generative AI tools. Led by Nida Shamim, an experienced professional in B2B sales and IT leadership, the session helped young learners understand how to navigate the digital world safely and thoughtfully.
Wellness Sessions
Year VI children also attended dedicated wellness sessions, held separately for boys and girls, where they met the school’s Wellness Counsellors. These sessions reinforced the school’s focus on student wellbeing and encouraged reflection on the importance of self-care and support during times of change.
