43rd Blood Donation Camp

Junior

Generosity and community spirit were on full display at Karachi Grammar School on Thursday, 15th January, as students, families, and friends came together for the annual KGS Lifeline Blood Donation Camp on the EY  and Junior School premises. This year, the event was held in collaboration with Indus Hospital, Husaini Blood Bank, and AKU, resulting in an impressive collection of 580 units of blood.

In the lead-up to the camp, Lifeline volunteers visited classrooms, distributing heart-shaped cookies, explaining the importance of giving blood, and encouraging students to invite as many donors as possible. A Bake Sale and a friendly competition between the four Houses—won by Frere House—motivated students to spread awareness and inspire participation. Earlier, a Souvenir Sale showcased students’ original artwork, raising funds in a fun and creative way.

On the day of the camp, the outer field had been transformed into a lively, temporary hospital, decorated with colorful balloons and banners. Students, accesorised in red to mark the occasion, toured the venue in sections, observing donors having their blood pressure and iron levels checked and learning about the blood donation process.

Karachi Grammar School extends heartfelt thanks to all the donors who dedicated their time to making a real difference in someone’s life. We are equally grateful to the Lifeline volunteers, doctors, technicians, and domestic staff—this event would not have been possible without your dedication and support!
