We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Administrator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network administration, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to network security and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure using Networking equipment, including access, distribution, and core network layers. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure network solutions meet organizational needs.
- Firewall Management: Configure, monitor, and maintain the Fortigate firewall to enforce network security policies. Regularly update firewall rules, perform security audits, and troubleshoot any firewall-related issues.
- Network Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize network monitoring tools, to proactively monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize network resources. Conduct regular performance analysis and implement necessary adjustments to ensure optimal network operation.
- Configuration Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, including IP addressing, VLANs, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and routing protocols. Implement configuration changes following established change management processes and maintain configuration backups
- Network Security: Implement and manage network security measures, including access controls, intrusion detection systems, and firewalls, to protect against unauthorized access and potential security threats. Stay updated with the latest security vulnerabilities and apply patches and updates as required
- Data Center Management: Manage network infrastructure in the data center, systems, power distribution units (PDUs), and environmental monitoring. Ensure the availability and proper functioning of network equipment in the data center.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve network-related issues, including connectivity problems, performance degradation, and security incidents. Utilize diagnostic tools and methodologies to troubleshoot and escalate issues to vendors or higher-level support when necessary.
- Vendor Management: Engage with network equipment vendors, including FortiGate and Other iSPs to maintain vendor relationships, handle equipment warranties, and coordinate hardware replacements or repairs.
- User Support and Training: Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding network-related queries, issues, and connectivity problems. Conduct training sessions to educate users on network best practices, security awareness, and the proper use of network resources
- Network Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory. Generate regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and capacity planning.
- Disaster Recovery Management: Define strategies for back-up and recovery, failover, load balancing, and full redundancy. Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science.
Experience: At least 3 to 4 years.
