In collaboration with Umeed Parr and to mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, KGS joined hands to bring smiles to children in cancer wards across the city. The Toy Drive supported the Umeed Parr Rewards Programme, which celebrates the bravery of each child by providing them with a special treat.

The drive began with addresses from the Umeed Parr team to both school sections, sparking excitement and a shared sense of purpose. Students were encouraged to donate new toys suited for children of similar age and gender, with suggestions like puzzles, crayons, and small legos, all within a Rs. 1000/- price range.

Contributions were collected in the central foyer each morning, coordinated by the Heads of Year and supported by the Umeed Parr team’s daily pick-ups. A special touch was added with students making personalised message cards for their gifts, fostering empathy and connection.

The Toy Drive surpassed expectations, with enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and teachers. It was a heartwarming experience, one that united the KGS community in support of children facing difficult battles.
