In the Kindergarten Section, the first Wednesday morning of every month is designated for a ‘Quiet Assembly’ . These assembly mornings encourage our young learners to reflect upon a set of universal values, such as respect, caring and cooperation.
Year Is’ shared their thoughts on the value of the month, ‘Kindness’. They discussed the importance of being kind and how they can show kindness to friends, family, pets and the environment.
The Nursery children participated in their first Quiet Assembly on Wednesday 6th September 2023. During the assembly, the value of ‘Sharing’ and how it can lead to friendship and happiness was highlighted through the story ‘The Rainbow Fish’, by Marcus Pfister. Children then took part in a meaningful discussion about the benefits of sharing. At the end a little shiny silver scale was given, as a memento, to each child to take home to share with family or a friend.
