As part of their Science Unit Healthy Me, the children in all EY2 sections welcomed Ms.Emlyn Bernard, a nutritionist, on the 2nd and 3rd of November 2026. Her visit helped the children learn more about healthy eating and how the food we eat helps us grow and stay healthy.
During a fun and interactive session, Ms.Bernard introduced the children to the various food groups and explained why our bodies need a variety of foods. The children then took part in a hands-on sorting activity, grouping pictures of food items into their correct food groups. They were eager to share their ideas, participated enthusiastically and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
It was a lovely opportunity to bring their classroom learning to life and round off the unit!
