To mark 179 years of KGS, a special Founders’ Day celebration was held on Friday, 30th October, a day earlier than usual as the school was closed for the weekend.
Children from EY, Years I and II came together in the Auditorium for a special House Assembly, joining their Junior Section peers in celebrating the school’s 179th birthday. The assembly provided an opportunity to mark this special occasion and reflect on the long history and heritage of KGS.
In their classrooms, EY children also explored the history of KGS through a simple, age-appropriate presentation, followed by related activities that helped them learn a little more about their school and its journey through the years.
The celebrations were made even sweeter with a special treat for every child! It was a lovely way for our youngest learners to celebrate KGS’s 179th birthday and feel part of the school’s rich history and traditions.
