Year IV children visited the State Bank of Pakistan Museum and Art Gallery, a unique institution that offers a rich and engaging insight into the country’s economic and banking history.

During their visit, students explored an extensive collection of coins, banknotes, and historical artefacts across the museum’s seven galleries, interacting with thoughtfully designed displays. A knowledgeable docent guided the group through the exhibits, sharing the history of currency, explaining the significance of key pieces, and responding to students’ questions throughout the tour.

A highlight for many was the Sadequain Gallery, where the scale and detail of the murals and metal collages left a lasting impression. Another exhibit that generated considerable interest was Quaid-e-Azam’s monthly grocery list, displayed in the recreated office of the first head of the State Bank.

The excursion provided a meaningful and memorable learning experience,  children’s understanding  of the evolution of money, while also introducing them to the role and responsibilities of the State Bank of Pakistan.
