Year V students had an exciting and eye-opening visit to the State Bank of Pakistan Museum and Art Gallery, a one-of-its-kind museum in the country showcasing Pakistan’s rich banking and economic history.

The children explored coins, banknotes, and artefacts across seven interactive galleries, discovering fascinating stories behind money and banking. A friendly docent brought the exhibits to life, explaining their history and answering the children’s curious questions. The students were especially amazed by the Sadequain Gallery, with its enormous murals and striking metal collages. Another crowd favourite was Quaid-e-Azam’s monthly grocery list, displayed in the office of the first head of the State Bank—a simple item that sparked lots of interest and imagination!

The trip offered a fun and educational experience, introducing the children to the evolution of currency from basic coins to cryptocurrency and helping them understand the important role of the State Bank in Pakistan. They also explored a special exhibition on Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the National Poet and Poet of the East, which celebrated his life, legacy, and poetry alongside Quranic reflections.

The field trip left the children inspired, curious, and full of questions—making it a truly memorable learning adventure!
