Karachi Grammar School, Middle Section, hosted the Geography Bee 2025, celebrating students’ curiosity, teamwork, and passion for understanding the world we live in. This year, 180 students enthusiastically took part in the preliminary round, demonstrating their knowledge and love for Geography. Amongst these, three students from each year level, Year VII, VIII, and IX, were selected to form three KGS teams, reflecting the spirit of collaboration and shared learning across the middle school. The selected students were Muhammad Umar Bhatti, Mir Ibrahim Ahmar, and Yahya Suleman from Year VII; Naeem Charania, Abbas Aurangzeb Ansari, and Zaraar Ahmed Khan from Year VIII; and Syed Zayaan Ali, Ayla Ali, and Hamza Ikram from Year IX.
To make the event more enriching and collaborative, three guest teams were invited from St. Joseph’s Convent School, Mama Parsi Girls’ Secondary School, and BVS Parsi High School.
KGS proudly led by example, demonstrating that true achievement lies not in winning but in learning together and nurturing a love for the world we live in, and therefore, unlike previous years, Geography Bee 2025 was not a competition but a commemoration of our shared passion for exploring our planet Earth. The purpose of this change was to emphasize that learning geography is not merely about competing but about cultivating curiosity, empathy, and a deeper connection with the world around us.
The event featured five interactive and dynamic rounds: Choice Box, Geo Charades, Rapid Fire, Global Mix, and Think Like a Geographer. Each round was designed to inspire critical thinking, teamwork, and global awareness. Through these activities, students developed not only their geographical knowledge but also their sense of responsibility towards sustaining our planet Earth.
In keeping with the spirit of the event, all participants were honoured with certificates of participation, symbolizing that everyone who learns, collaborates, and grows is a winner in their own right.
